Caleb Young serves as the Music Director of Indiana Youth Musicians and conductor of the Fenice Orchestra.
He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Orchestral Conducting at the Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of David Effron and Arthur Fagan.
Caleb was guest conductor of the Tuscaloosa Youth Orchestra, and co-founder and Music Director of the Capstone Chamber Orchestra. He is the founder of the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra, and served as Assistant Conductor to Arthur Fagan and the Atlanta Opera. He has assisted Cliff Colnot and the IU Symphony Orchestra, and David Effron and the IU Philharmonic.
Caleb has worked with Colin Metters and the Russian National Orchestra, Marin Alsop and the Cabrillo Music Festival, and two summer concerts with Ovidiu Baln and the Mihail Jora. He has attended workshops that include the nation’s most sought-after mentors, including Gustav Meirer, Mark Gibson, Markand Thakar, and Kenneth Kiesler.
His past teachers include Adrian Gnam, John Ratledge and Demondrae Thurman.
